Jointly organized by Caltech and JPL, this workshop focuses on modeling the biosphere and land surfaces.

We want to address questions such as:

• What is the right level of complexity of biosphere and land models in Earth system models?
• How can we integrate observations more effectively in models?
• How do we couple biosphere and land models to other model components in ESMs?
